Parcel Size For Agruiculture 2012
The 2011-2012 survey indicates that 98% of respondents have access to land in general, an average of 1.3 hectares, or Ha, however only 85% of them used it for agricultural purposes in the past twelve months. Households reported using an average of one hectare of land for agricultural purposes, ranging from less than 0.003 Ha up to 6.25 Ha. The largest and smallest average landholdings for agricultural purposes were again located in Chardonnières (1.27 Ha) Arniquet (0.67 Ha). Interesting to note is that households in Port-à-Piment (0.92 Ha), Saint Jean du Sud (0.77 Ha), Port Salut (0.76 Ha) and Arniquet (0.67 Ha) consistently reported average land sizes of less than 1 Ha.
